Welcome. This site is written and maintained by Donald Strachan. My professional site explains a bit about who I am. Basically, I’m a travel writer with a particular interest in and knowledge of Italy, Tuscany and Umbria above all. My travel guidebooks have won awards. All the words and pictures here are mine, as is all the research.
The Big Idea is that the site becomes a useful trip-planning tool for travellers to Tuscany and Umbria. As you can see, I’m really, really not there yet. And, yes, that’s an understatement.
